What a NAD+ price includes besides the drug

Divide $145.00 by 2,400 milligrams and you get six-tenths of a cent a milligram. That is a true sum. Whether it is the price of a milligram of NAD+ depends entirely on what else the $145.00 was buying — and on this roster, most of the time, the seller tells you.

Of the 313 NAD+ prices published on the pages read on September 2026, 162 carry the seller’s own statement of what the price covers beyond the drug itself. 65 of the 107 sellers on this roster publish at least one. The remaining 151 say nothing about it at all, which is not the same as including nothing.

Counted by nadcost from the sellers’ own what’s included text on pages read on September 2026, over the 313 published, deduplicated NAD+ prices. Rows overlap — one line names several — so this column does not sum to 162. The phrases matched are listed in full at the foot of this page, and the 20 lines that matched none of them are counted there too.

A clinician’s time appears on 100 prices from 41 sellers, more than anything else. Delivery is next at 78. Both are real costs, and both are being divided by milligrams every time anyone works out a per-milligram figure from a published NAD+ price — including on this site’s own board.

How many things one price carries

The same 162 prices, counted once each by how many separate things their line names. This is the partition: it sums to 162 exactly, and the build stops if it ever stops doing so.

Computed by nadcost from prices read on September 2026. Unlike the chart above, every price appears in exactly one row here, so the figures column sums to 162. The 20 at the top say something the phrase list does not recognise — “10ml vial”, “10 week program” — and are counted as the ruler’s own shortfall rather than as an absence.

75 of 162 name three or more things at once. At that point the milligrams are a minority of what is being sold, and the seller has said so plainly — on its own product page, in its own marketing copy, as a reason to buy. Nobody is hiding this. It is simply not something a per-milligram figure can represent.

Our own board: 12 of 18 rows

The board this site publishes holds 18 prices — the ones where a seller states both an amount and the quantity it buys. 12 of those 18, from 7 sellers, carry an includes-line of their own. Every per-milligram figure on that board is therefore an upper bound, and this is the page that says so with the rows attached.

The phrase list, and what it misses

There is no field in this data saying “this price includes a consult”, which is the same problem the dose line has. There is only prose the seller wrote, so the counting above was done by looking for particular words in it. That is an instrument with a known failure: a list of phrases finds the shapes it was built to find, and its zero can describe the list rather than the market.

So the list is printed. Every phrase searched for is below, matched as a plain case-insensitive substring of the seller’s own text — no stemming, no regular expressions, nothing normalised. And the misses are counted: 20 of the 162 lines match none of these phrases at all. They are not absences; they are what this list does not reach.

One further thing the corpus records and this page will not inflate: whether the price is conditional on clearing something first. 3 figures, from 1 of the 107 sellers, carry a statement that the price applies only after a review. That is 3 of 377 figures read, and it is reported as such rather than as a pattern.
